Şişecam to build new glass manufacturing plant in Turkey

Şişecam aims to consolidate its leadership position in the rapidly growing Turkish energy glass market, to seize export opportunities and to further strengthen its competitive position.

With an investment of approximately TRY 3.4 billion (around EUR 185 million) including working capital, Şişecam has decided to establish a second frosted glass furnace and processing line on the same land as the new flat glass line in construction in Mersin, Turkey.

In this way, the company aims to be one of the most important renewable energy investment suppliers in the world, in line with sustainability goals, while seizing opportunities in the rapidly growing solar energy market in Turkey and in the world.
