Obeikan Glass Co. said it obtained an exploration license from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources for silica sand from the silica sand ore complex in Taimaa.
It expected this will contribute to securing the basic raw material for operations without any disruption, the company said in a statement on Tadawul.
Once commercial extraction begins, the financial impact on production costs will be studied, the firm noted, indicating that developments related to this license and the resulting financial impact will be announced in due course.
