DAS Solar has announced the launch of an all-black N-type bifacial dual-glass module – the black-thru series – for the global residential PV market. The product is based on a 54 cell M10 design, with power output of up to 430W and module efficiency of up to 22.0%.
With new coating technology and black busbar overlaid with black silicon, the module benefits from an aesthetically pleasing all-black appearance, with colourless coated glass reducing light reflection and enhancing power generation.
The module is advanced in terms of weight load/m2 due to its lightweight dual-glass structure, resulting in it being 3kg lighter than an equivalent conventional dual-glass module and 0.7kg lighter than a monofacial module. The lightweight design also has the advantage of easy transportation and a potential reduction in labour costs, with the dual-glass structure providing better fire-resistance performance as well as a warranty of 15 years for product and materials and one of 30 years covering linear power.
