Glass kilns often work in harsh conditions such as high temperature, which will affect their life and output. However, a well-designed kiln will be of great help to the life of the kiln, fuel consumption, glass melting and wire drawing.


Experts in the construction of Baisheng Glass Kiln told us that in order to meet the basic requirements of the kiln on the masonry size of refractory bricks and the thermal expansion of kiln body, the wall bricks and pavement bricks at the bottom of the kiln should be cut and ground. The following key points of masonry technology are briefly introduced.


Masonry sequence and method of glass kiln


1. On the basis of the acceptance of the steel structure at the bottom of the pool, according to the construction baseline of the kiln and the centerline of the kiln, release the relevant feeding port, front and rear rows of bubbles and the centerline of each drawing bushing on the forming path.


2. Masonry of the bottom of the pool, including the bottom of the passageway. After laying thermal insulation bricks and kaolin bricks, relax 30-50mm inside and outside the masonry pool wall for leveling. Multi-storey underground structure must be controlled according to the negative deviation of elevation when laying, and the allowable deviation of the total thickness of the pool bottom is generally -3mm. Laying a layer of chromium ramming material on the kaolin brick at the bottom of the pool as a sealing layer can prevent the glass liquid from penetrating into the clay brick layer with poor corrosion resistance.


3. Masonry of pool wall, including access pool wall. The levelness of the fused bricks laying the pool wall must be ensured, otherwise the bottom bricks of this part should be processed until the requirements are met. When laying multi-layer fused bricks on the wall of the pool, it is necessary to operate from the inside to the outside, so as to ensure the size of the hearth, and it is forbidden to cut and chisel the brick towards the hearth. The corner shall be laid with staggered joints, and the verticality shall be strictly maintained.


4. Hoist the column. Take temporary measures to stabilize the column, and then install the ballast angle steel according to the design requirements. The column and ballast angle steel must be close together, and the elevation must be determined at the same time.


5. Masonry the self-closed. Make the self-closed tire. After the bearing settlement test of the arch and the corresponding size inspection, the large self-closed will be laid from both sides to the center at the same time, and continuous operation is required, which should be controlled within 5mm as far as possible. The construction of the self-closed insulation layer shall be carried out after the baking kiln is finished.


6. Masonry breast wall, front wall, back wall and passageway flame space. The laying of fused brick for breast wall should be carried out after carefully checking the bracket, supporting plate and supporting frame for installation. Masonry hook brick and breast wall brick should take measures to prevent dumping into the kiln.


7. Laying flue and chimney. It is necessary to remove the sundries in the kiln and clean it with a vacuum cleaner before laying. The furnace flue and chimney shall be laid in conjunction with the metal heat exchanger, and the passageway chimney shall be laid after the passageway is laid.


8. Masonry methods are divided into dry masonry and wet masonry.


Wet laying parts: the side wall and the crown of the flame space in the melting part, the insulation bricks of the flue, chimney and kiln. The mud used for wet laying should be prepared with corresponding refractory mud according to the refractory bricks used.


Dry parts: the bottom and wall of the pool in the melting part and the passageway, the hook brick in the flame space, the self-closed brick in the melting part and the flue, the electric brick masonry and the top cover brick of the passageway.


In addition to the stacking steps, steel frame acceptance and pre-laying are also important. In order to ensure the quality and progress of masonry construction, pool wall bricks, pool bottom paving bricks and all load-bearing arch bricks with strict requirements on size and brick joints should be pre-laid. However, if the above-mentioned brick materials have high dimensional accuracy and fully meet the design requirements, it is not necessary to carry out pre-laying. All bricks to be laid in advance must be numbered in sequence, and they will be seated accordingly when laying formally. According to the steel structure design requirements and construction allowable deviation, the main beam, secondary beam and flat steel are laid, and the access steel structure is also constructed.
