Algeria is considering the revival of the Sovest glass manufacturing facility.

The ACS Holding (Algeria Chemical Specialities) launched a call for an open national and international expression of interest in order to form a partnership project for the revival and the development of the Sovest glass facility based in the commune El Ma Labiod in Tébessa.

Eastern Glass Company (Sovest) was created in 1995 on an area of about 10 hectares but encountered several financial difficulties. It specialised in the production of hollow glass.

The Algerian Minister of Industry, Ahmed Zeghdar confirmed the news earlier this week and said the factory could lead to the creation of 257 jobs.
