Sun Glass has installed an 80 tpd furnace at its container glass manufacturing plant in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Sun Glass supplies the premium spirits and beer market across India.
Its new furnace will bring the capacity of the Firozabad container glass plant up to 230 tpd.
The furnace will produce green glass bottles for beer, spirits, wine and soft drinks in sizes 90ml to 1000ml.
The investment cost over 1 billion INR (approximately 11,159,201 EUR).
It has also created more than 100 jobs.
The group has seven active furnaces in the Firozabad area, with two at its container glass manufacturing plant.
The site’s second furnace began production in July 2023, while the first furnace was fired in November 2020.
There was an official opening ceremony at the time of the second furnace’s firing.
