AGC Glass Europe CEO co-signs Declaration for European Industrial Deal

AGC Glass Europe CEO Jean-Marc Meunier was present at the European Industry Summit, hosted at BASF in Antwerp, 

and co-signed the Declaration calling for a true EU Industrial Deal.

AGC Glass Europe is well under-way with its Carbon Roadmap to decarbonize flat glass manufacturing in Europe, reinventing 

the way the company produces glass. But all these efforts will only materialize if the EU creates and provides for enabling conditions to innovate, thrive and invest.

At the CEO Roundtable, chaired by the Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander De Croo, and by the European Commission

 President Ursula von der Leyen, Jean-Marc Meunier spoke about low carbon glass, the need for cheaper and abundant 

low carbon energy and put emphasis on the need to keep industry in Europe because it is the industry that will deliver the climate solutions and products Europe needs.

Under the auspices of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, this event was organised to set the next European Commission’s agenda.
