Taiwan-based LCD driver IC backend service providers are expected to see their revenues hit the year's highs in August, thanks to increased demand on seasonality, according to market watchers. The backend suppliers' order visibility has extended to October.
Chipbond Technology may generate revenues of more than NT$550 million (US$16.76 million) in July and beat the NT$600 million mark in August, indicated the watchers. The company has landed more outsourcing orders for chip-on-film (COF) and chip-on-glass (COG) from Japan-based IDMs that are seeking to lower costs, according to previous reports.
International Semiconductor Technology (IST) is also likely to manage on-month revenue increases in July and August, said the watchers, estimating its third-quarter sales to climb 20-30% sequentially
