With the steady progress of the NorthGlass High-End Equipment Industrial Park project, the landmark R&D Center Building’s "Super Glass" curtain wall has been successfully installed.

This oversized, extra-thick, and ultra-heavy glass facade resembles a giant silver screen, combining stunning aesthetics with cutting-edge technology. The one-way perspective and highly reflective glass make the building sparkle uniquely and brilliantly.

Unmatched Scale and Precision

The facade consists of 31 glass panels, with the largest on the south side reaching 18.3 meters in height, 3 meters in width, and 8.8 tons in weight. These five-layer laminated insulating glass panels achieve industry-leading standards in size, coating, and layering. The north side features panels up to 12 meters tall, while the entrance includes 8-layer, 126 mm-thick glass ribs. A 20-meter-long, 6-meter-wide glass corridor connects the R&D building to the factory, exemplifying the sophistication of this project.

Innovative Structural Design

The installation features a spring-bearing pedestal connection that minimizes deformation under wind load, ensuring durability and adaptability. This marks NorthGlass’ second major super-large glass project, following the 19-meter self-supporting polygonal glass at the Culture and Art Center of Anji's "Two Mountains" Future Science and Technology City.
