Shanghai Precision provided the batch house for KCC Glass’ $258 million flat glass production facility in Central Java, Indonesia.
In October 2024, South Korean float glass manufacturer KCC Glass celebrated the successful light-up of its 1,200 tpd furnace in Indonesia.
Shanghai Precision Dosing and Weighing System was chosen as the batch house supplier for the project after two years of negotiation.
Shanghai Precision was responsible for the batch house, as well as the process design, equipment supply for raw material reception system, weighing system, and mixing system.
The supplier also provided onsite installation supervision and commissioning services.
During the installation and commissioning stage, the site project team had to deal with challenging local weather conditions.
This included intense rains and scorching heat, which caused some delay in the construction.
Nevertheless, its site managers overcame these challenges to ensure the timely furnace light-up and production of high-quality batch.
Shanghai Precision has previously worked with KCC Glass to provide raw material batch systems and equipment for its float glass and glass wool production lines in South Korea.
The supplier said: “We would like to congratulate the customer for the successful collaboration in Indonesia, and we look forward to a continuous partnership for KCC Glass’ future production.”
