GREENFIELD, MASS. (July 23, 11:20 a.m. ET) -- Argotec Inc. has regrouped its thermoplastic polyurethane film business to focus on matching products to specific customer groups and their needs.
As President and CEO Bruce Wilby explained in a July 22 news release, “Rather than focusing just on products we can make and market, we are concentrating on better matching our film extrusion capabilities, technical expertise and resources with the applications of our customers -- strength to strength.”
The company said the restructuring will allow it to focus on core markets: security glass lamination, automotive paint protection, medical device & wound care, textile lamination, waterproof-breathable performance apparel & footwear, and graphics printing & overlaminating.
“What has changed is the way we integrate groups of like products and resources,” said Steve Wolkenbreit, co-founder and co-chairman of the Greenfield-based company.
Each market has its own brand, literature and self-contained sections on the company’s Web site.
ArgoBond -- optical interlayer films and edge seal tapes for laminated-glass uses.
ArgoGuard -- tough, weatherable, high-gloss aliphatic films for paint and metal protection.
ArgoMed -- barrier films with antimicrobial infection control for medical devices and wound-dressings.
ArgoGraph -- printable, conformable, high-gloss over-laminate films for graphics uses.
ArgoFlex -- textile laminating films for bonding fabric layers together, air and water containment, and waterproofing.
OmniFlex -- waterproof-breathable films with antibacterial odour-control technology for performance clothing and footwear.
