SKC showcases semiconductor glass substrates at Mobile World Congress 2025

SKC will showcase glass substrates at the Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC 2025), the world's largest mobile exhibition, held from Mar. 3 to 6 (local time).

SKC will display glass substrates in person at the AI data center section of the SK Telecom exhibition hall. Glass substrates are one of the key technologies necessary for processing large-scale data.

Glass substrates can implement ultra-fine circuits and can house various elements, such as multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCC), allowing large central processing units (CPUs) and graphic processing units (GPUs) to be mounted on the surface.

When glass substrates are applied to semiconductor packaging, power consumption and package thickness are reduced by more than half, and data processing speed increases by 40% compared to existing methods.

An SKC official noted, “As the world's first corporation to commercialize semiconductor glass substrates, we will showcase our technological excellence at MWC 2025 following CES 2025, and we hope to contribute to the advancement of AI technology through the targeted year-end commercialization of glass substrates.”
