Insulating glass and glass fiber yarn production increased rapidly

From January to August in2009, China's flat glass production reached 370.2427 million weight cases, an increase of 0.89%, ending the situationof negative growth in production since May, in which a single month in August reached 48.1222 million weight cases, an increase of 8.59%; August production accounts for 12.99% of total production from January to August. In glass products, insulating glass, glass fiber yarn production  increased rapidly;Tempered glass, laminated glass production continues to decline.

From January to August, tempered glass, laminated glass, insulating glass, glass fiber yarn output reached 86.0056 million square meters, 22.0427 million square meters, 18.6188 million square meters, 1.9945 million tons, respectively, over the same period last year increased by -5.04%, -0.57%, 26.26% and 13.14%.Tempered glass, laminated glass, insulating glass, a single month in August reached 12.6236 million square meters and 3.4429 million square meters and 2.9971 million square meters respectively.Growth respectively over the same period last year increased by 15.23%, 8.79% and 61.17%. Glass fiber yarn production rose faster, reaching 252.3 thousand tons, compared with a year earlier, up 3.77%.Relative growth rate in July rose by 6.37 percentage points, reversing the negative growth situation.
