Glass & Glazing Federation Relocates to New Headquarters

Post Time:Dec 08,2009Classify:Industry NewsView:461

The Glass & Glazing Federation has moved into its new headquarters building and into what its chief executive Nigel Rees says will be a "new and exciting" era for the organization and the industries it represents, with facilities that encourage "bold and original thinking."

Close to the group's previous offices in London's Southwark, GGF describes the new building as having been a shabby, poorly appointed and drab 1970's shell that provided a real challenge for the architects and developers. Now having been renovated, the new structure features "substantial and adventurous use of glass."

Nigel Rees, GGF Group chief executive, says that he is delighted with the end result.

"As outdated and impractical as our old premises had become, our new facility is modern, stylish and comfortable, whilst also providing us with a working showcase of the very best that can be found in glass and glazing for modern buildings. I believe that our new facilities will enable the Glass & Glazing Federation to move into a new and exciting era in which we will create initiatives that will help us to take the industry forward, with some bold thinking. The conditions within the building not only provide excellent facilities in which the GGF and its constituent organizations will thrive, it also provides a very prestigious and appropriate impression of the UK glass and glazing industries."
