Students at WVU took a tour of the Glass Museum in the Seneca Center in Morgantown.
It's part of a class called City as Text in the Honors College.
They took the tour of the Old Morgantown Glass Collectors' Guild Glass Museum and even looked at one of the only existing furnaces in the United States.
Students studied the history of Morgantown and learn both inside a textbook and outside of the classroom.
"They have a general sense of West Virginia, but now they're here at West Virginia University. It's really important for them to know a little more about Morgantown and the environment they've stepped into," said Cookie Schultz from the WVU Honors College.
"It's important. At one time this was a major industry in Morgantown, the glass works," said Marjorie Wiley, of the Morgantown Glass Collectors' Guild.
If you're interested in touring the Glass Museum and learning more about the history of Morgantown, they're open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. and on Sunday from 12 to 4 P.M.
They also have an Old Morgantown Glass Collectors' Guild Convention coming to town the first weekend of June.
