According to Shenyang customs statistics, export flat glass in Liaoning was 732,000 square meters in January,2010, value of 1.448 million U.S. dollars, drop 19.5% and 25.4% compared the same period in last year. The average price of exports was 1.98 dollar/㎡, drop 7.5%.
Characteristics: 1. General trade export-oriented. 2. Private export-dominated, state-owned enterprises significantly decreased. 3. There are many low capacity enterprises.
In 2009, China became the largest glass production country with the largest number of glass manufacturers. But the main export glass is ordinary float flat glass. While LCD, PV products depend on imports. With the development of global environmental protection, energy-saving emission reduction and the green economy, the float flat glass must be limited, as a typical high energy consumption and high pollution product.
Under this situation, the suggestions are as followed:
One is to develop and research the energy-saving and environmental production ways; two is to improve the exports' quality; third is to strengthen market supervision and strictly implement company’s access situation.
