China's new breakthrough: Ultra-fine E-glass fiber technology forms mass production capability

Recently, Chongqing Science and Technology Commission announced that Chinese E-glass (5 micron) fiber key technology has achieved a new level to form mass production capability.  The product quality has international level, successfully broke out the technical monopoly of the United States and Japan in the field.

At the workshop of Chongqing International Compound Materials Co., Ltd.-ultra-fine E-glass fiber production base, the reporter saw that the ultra-fine E-glass fiber like a hair was being produced. Each E-glass fiber is made up of 200 glass fiber (5 micron) which can reflect how thin the ultra-fine E-glass fiber.

Chongqing Municipal Science and Technology High-tech Development and Industrialization Department, Mr. Wu introduced that

 E-glass fiber is a new key material that is made into all kinds of electronic products' basic components. The products are widely used in mobile phone, TV, aerospace and automotive areas.

In 2007, Chongqing International Compound Materials Co., Ltd. undertook the project of Ultra-fine E-glass Fiber development & research.

Until now, the ultra-fine E-glass fiber has taken up 30% of the global market share. The company supplies this E-glass fiber for five companies in Taiwan and plans to enter into the Japanese high-end market.
