Correia Art Glass Studio, begun in 1973, continues the perfect union of art and craft in hand-blown glass at its Spring Sale of Topanga resident Steven Correia's art glass and optical crystal sculpture.
Each of his glass vases, paperweights, bowls, lamps, stemware and perfume bottles are handmade, signed, and dated. Many of his works are found in permanent collections of major museums throughout the world.
In addition to Correia's art glass, his sister, Patricia Correia, who represented and laid the foundation for her brother's national reputation, now works with emerging artists and established, museum-collected artists, nationally and internationally, and will display her choices of fine art and prints for sale.
The third Correia to join this venture is sister Algerine Correia, President of Correia Art Glass. She is an artist who oversees the daily operations of the company, and, as the principal designer, creates her own designs.
The sale continues through June 13 at its new location at 1520 Second Street, Santa Monica 90401 (Between Colorado and Broadway). Enjoy super sale discounts up to 50 percent, and if you bring a friend who buys, you can receive a Correia Art Glass gift. Showroom is open Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment on weekdays. There is free parking behind the building.
