Samsung Galaxy S Gets Gorilla Glass Protection Over Super AMOLED

Corning Inc. announced today that it will be providing the ultra durable and scratch-resistant Gorilla glass for the Samsung Galaxy S smartphones. The company said that the Gorilla glass will act as a protective layer over the already existing brilliant Super AMOLED touch-screen display.

“Gorilla glass is an environmentally friendly alkali-aluminosilicate thin sheet glass that is both scratch resistant and durable,” said BJ Kang, senior manager at Samsung Electronics.
