TEMPERED GLASS

Tempered glass is one of two kinds of safety glass regularly used in applications in which standard glass could pose a potential danger. Tempered glass is four to five times stronger than standard glass,it is manufactured through a process of extreme heating and rapid cooling, making it harder than normal glass. Tempered glass breaks in a unique way,it does not break into sharp shards when it fails,it becomes small obtuse angle pieces when broken. Thus people will not get hurt so much as ordinary glass.

Hongjia Glass processed both heat-strengthened and fully tempered glass,both flat tempered glass and curved glass.

Fully-Tempered Glass:
1,About 4-5 times stronger than normal float glass of same thickness
2,Better resistance to thermally induced stress
3,Typically breaks into classic tiny piece pattern
4,Occasionaly can experience spontaneous breakage due to nickel sulfide inclusion.
  But after heat soak,the self-explosion rate will be much lower.

Heat-Strengthened Glass:
1,About two times stronger than normal float glass of same thickness
2,Good resistance to thermally loads than normal flat glass
3,Typically breaks into large pieces but heat-strengthened glass not easy to self-explosion,close to rate 0%.
4,Less prone to spontaneous breakage than tempered glass

Curved tempered glass:
Its arc should be part of a round circle,it doesn’t need make a mold to start the production,but it needs adjust the machine to make required radian.

Application:

This type of glass is intended for glass facades,sliding doors,building entrances,bath and shower enclosures and other uses requiring superior and safety properties.
1,Suitable for use in spandrel/vision areas where good resistance to wind load & thermal stress is required.
2,Suitable where safety glazing is required.
3,Appropriate for interior & exterior glazing.
