Low-E Glass

Low-E glass, also known as the low radiation glass, is a film system of multilayer metal or other compounds on the surface of the glass. The coating has to visible light high through and high reflectance in COSCO infrared characteristics, compared with ordinary glass and traditional architectural glass coating has excellent heat insulation effect and good light transmittance.

Single silver Low-E glass

Single silver Low-E coated glass usually contains only one layer of functional layer (silver layer), plus other metal and compound layer, the total number of films reached 5 layers.

Double silver Low-E glass

Double silver Low-E coated glass with two layers of functional layer (silver layer), plus other metal and compound layer, the total number of films reached 9 layers. However, the technical process control of double silver Low-E glass is more difficult than that of single silver.

Comparison between single silver LOW-E glass and double silver LOW-E glass

Any coated glass in the limit of the solar thermal radiation through the same time will be different degrees of visible light through. Double silver Low-E glass is able to block more solar thermal radiant heat than single silver E Low glass. In other words, in the same light transmittance, double silver Low-E has a lower shade coefficient Sc, which can be more than the sun filtered into a cold light source.
