The performance and characteristic

The semi-tempered glass is kind of glass between ordinary flat glass and tempered glass. It has the part performance of tempered glass,such as strength is higher than ordinary glass,but also avoid the weak points of tempered glass, such as: not smooth; easy to explode;once destroyed, the whole will crack and so on. Once semi-tempered glass is damaged, it will radial crack along the crack source, generally no tangential crack, so it can still maintain not collapse after the damage.

The application scope:

The semi-tempered glass is suitable for curtain wall and windows in the building, can be made into tempered coated glass, the image distortion excels tempered glass. But should be noticed, semi-tempered glass does not belong to the scope of safe glass. Because it s once broken. There are still sharp debris which may hurt people. It can not be used for roof and the places where human impact will happen possibly. The compressive stress in the surface of semi-tempered glass is between 24Mpa to 69Mpa, the surface pressure of tempered glass should be greater than 90Mpa. The production process is the same with the tempered glass, the difference only is the wind pressure in quenching station, Cooling energy is less than tempered glass.
