High aluminosilicate glass

High aluminosilicate glass is a kind of products widely used in mobile phone

screen protector, watch case ,etc. Glass surface compressive stress

layer is formed by chemical methods to increase the glass strength.

With the brittle nature under tension, common glass will break when

physical strength increases to a certain extent. However, if the compressive

stress in the glass surface increased, glass strength can be obviously enhanced.

As long as the tension is no more than compressive stress, the glass will

not break.To strengthen glass products, we usually use chemical tempering,

and ion exchange is an effective tempering method to enhance the glass

strength. Ion exchange is a method to use K ion to exchange Li and Na

ions. In molten salt,K ion is of larger ionic radius than Li and ions.

The glass strength is improved by ion exchange to form a compressive

stress layer on the glass surface.
