Laminated glass

 

Laminated glass units are used for safety purpose. It is a type of safety glass that remains stable by holding the elements or materials together. The entire unit is held in place in the event of breakage by Polyvinyl Butyral or PVB placed in between a couple of glass layers. The inner layer thus prevents the glass from breaking up into parts and bits in addition to giving the glass unit the needed sound insulation rating. PVB also protects the glass by blocking around 99% of UV radiation.
