 What is Tempered Glass?

A Glass that is strengthened through the process of heating and then cooling the surfacerapidly is known as Tempered Glass. This process creates surface compression and tensile strength that causes glass to resist breakage, yet disintegrate into small pieces if abreak occurs. Fully tempered glass must have a surface compression of 10,000 psi. This process produces glass four times more  impact resistant than non tempered glass.

2. Feature of tempered glass:

Tempered (toughened) glass is two or more times stronger than annealed glass. When broken, it shatters into many small fragments which prevent major injuries. This type of glass is intended for glass fa?ades, sliding doors, building entrances, bath and shower enclosures and other uses requiring superior strength and safety properties.

　　Max size: 3300mm×14000 mm

　　Min size: 80 mm×50mm

　2)  Bending tempered glass: 

　　Thickness: 3-19mm

　　Max size: 2440 mm×5000mm

　　Min size: 600mm×400mm

Min radius of curvature: 300mm

5. Application:

1). Building wall glass, decoration, such as windows, doors. 

2). Furniture: glass table, etc.

3)  Home appliance: TV, oven, air-conditioner, refrigerator, smoke exhaust ventilator, etc.
