Low porosity clay brick

In order to adapt to the working environment of glass pool kiln, considering the factors leading to the damage of kiln lining: chemical erosion, mechanical erosion, temperature fluctuation, etc., it can be divided into clay bricks with different properties, such as: low porosity clay brick (apparent porosity is not more than 10%), porous clay brick (apparent porosity is not more than 12%), low creep, low porosity and low iron tri-low clay brick (commonly known as tri-low brick). The porosity of clay brick is generally 24-26%, while many low porosity clay bricks are used between 10-14%, and some with porosity less than 10%.

The low porosity clay brick is made of flint clay, sintered mullite, "three stones" material and low impurity clay material through high-pressure molding and high-temperature sintering. It has the characteristics of high compressive strength, corrosion resistance, high starting temperature of softening under load, good thermal shock stability at medium and low temperature, etc. It is mainly used in the middle and lower lattices and wall parts of regenerator of glass furnace.

The low porosity of low porosity clay brick mainly depends on flint clay to adjust the porosity. The performance, compactness, strength and erosion resistance of low porosity clay brick after adding flint clay are improved. The sintering temperature of low porosity clay brick is high, the raw material matrix changes greatly, and the erosion resistance, thermal shock resistance and strength are further improved.

Scope of application: Widely used in metallurgical building materials, petrochemical industry, ceramic glass, hot-blast stove, regenerator of glass furnace, etc.
