   Mullite (or monazite) is a series of minerals composed of aluminosilicates. Mullite is the only stable binary compound in Al2O3-SiO2 system, which is rare. Mullite is a mineral produced by aluminosilicate at high temperature, and mullite will be formed when aluminosilicate is heated artificially. Mullite is used to produce high-temperature refractories.
